This is my beautiful grey,
brown, and black tabby named TC. She's got an orange
patch on her side, and turns blonde in the fall. She
adopted us in January 1995 as an adult cat. On August
1, 2000 she was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes. With
much help, we've learned alot and are here to share
it with you.
The
first thing I did after hearing the devastating news,
was turn to the internet for information. To my utter
amazement there was so much out there. I learned
about administering insulin, diet, home blood glucose
testing, and the many complications that can arise.
My vet has been very supportive. Because of that, I
have put together a Feline
Diabetes Flyer with the help of friends at the
FDMB (feline diabetes message board).
It contains numerous websites that are helpful to a
beginner. I have made it printable as a flyer to be
available to anyone interested in distributing it. It
is an excellent place to begin learning about Feline
Diabetes. I thank the wonderful people at Sugarcats for allowing me to use
their webspace for this project. Donna at Pets
with Diabetes and Lisa at Sugarcats Member
Directory provided invaluable help in
making this webpage.
I am
currently working on a page with more extensive links to sites for those
people ready to delve into more information. It
should be finished shortly.

webpage flyer from your browser without the headers
of footers using these directions. For

Also
available to give to your vet, the Pets with Diabetes Flyer.
| TC has recovered
from a severe case of pancreatitis, which made it
necessary for her to spend over a week in the
hospital. She was one of IMOM's Pets in Need, and
IMOM helped us financially. If you have found
this website to be helpful, please consider a
small donation to be used for other diabetic pets
at http://www.imom.org/funds Thank you so very much!! |
